Midstate Regional Planning Agency
The Midstate Regional Planning Agency (MRPA) created under Connecticut General Statutes Sec. 8.31-37, provides regional planning for eight municipalities in the northern part of Middlesex County. Municipalities in the Midstate Region include Cromwell, Durham, East Haddam, East Hampton, Haddam, Middlefield, Middletown, and Portland. MRPA provides town-planning services for Durham, and Middlefield. The Midstate Region covers 246.9 square miles of both urban and rural landscapes.
